Following the ‘Shaping the Future of Shipping – Weathering the storms, Global Trade – Risk and Resilience in an Age of Disruption’ summit, the International Chamber of Shipping, in collaboration with its members, have produced a video titled ‘Life After Sea.’

The aim of this video is to showcase to people what a diverse and interesting career maritime has to offer. It highlights the longevity of a career in maritime, from seafarer to coming ashore, emphasising how vital being at sea can be when coming ashore to other job opportunities within the sector.

The video is a continuation from last year’s ‘An Adventurous Spirit’, which was a global campaign to address the seafarer shortage.

The launch of ‘Life After Sea’ is in the same month as the day of the Seafarer 2024, the Shaping the Future of Shipping – Risk and Resilience summit, and the ICS Annual General Meeting.
