Aminu Umar is the Founder and CEO of Sea Transport Services Nigeria Limited, the leading transporter of clean petroleum products in West Africa, which handles 25% of Nigeria’s petroleum movement.

Under Aminu’s leadership, Sea Transport has grown from a brokerage firm in 2000 to owning vessels by 2008, providing competitive maritime services. He has been instrumental in supporting Nigeria’s maritime sector, developing policies, and fostering strong industry relationships with major international and local companies.

Aminu has held significant roles, including his current position as President of the Nigerian Chamber of Shipping(NCS) and his past position as President of the Nigeria Ship-Owners Association. He also serves on various international and national maritime committees and owns interests in several companies, notably Integrated Shipping Company Nigeria Limited. He holds a BSc in Accounting from the University of Maiduguri and is pursuing an MBA in Shipping and Logistics at Copenhagen Business School.
